Recipes for CHEESY BEEF TAQUITOS Made with Organic White Flour Tortillas

Ingredients

Maria and Ricardo´s Organic White Flour Tortillas
¾ lb. ground beef
6 teaspoons taco seasoning
9 oz. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 ½ cup of canola or vegetable oil for pan frying
Optional Garnish
Pico de gallo
Guacamole
Shredded lettuce
Sour cream

Preparation

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the ground beef to the skillet and break it up into small pieces.

Sprinkle the ground beef with the taco seasoning. Cook for 5-7 minutes or until the beef is fully cooked.

Line a large plate with a paper towel and transfer the cooked ground beef to the plate. Set it aside.

Place the Maria and Ricardo´s Organic White Flour Tortillas in a damp paper towel and microwave them for 10-15 seconds. This will prevent the tortillas from breaking while rolling.

To assemble each taquito, add approximately 1 tablespoon of cooked ground beef and 1-2 tablespoons of shredded cheese in the center of a tortilla. Roll it up tightly.

To pan-fry the taquitos, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add canola oil.

Place the taquitos seam side down in the skillet and fry for 2 to 3 minutes. Flip and fry the other side for an additional 1 to 2 minutes, or until they become golden brown.

Remove the taquitos from the skillet, placing them on a paper towel to drain any excess oil.

Garnish and serve immediately.
